The piece was written between january and july 2011 as the commission of Sacrum – Profanum contemporary music festival in Krakow, Poland, within Made in Poland – Miłosz Sounds” project. The premiere took place on September 18, 2011 in an old tram depot hall belonging to the Urban
Engineering Museum in Krakow, during the Sacrum – Profanum festival. The piece was performed by Zofia Dowgiałło on the harp and ASKO|Schoenberg Ensemble conducted by Etienne Siebens. In the piece, for the first time since Soliloquy no.2. Landscape of frozen thoughts for bassclarinet and 20 strings I have undertaken a spatial placement of performing musicians around the audience. This new spa tial music exploration combined with my seek for individualized, refined sonority started in The Postgrammar by Miłosz have been present till the very day as one of vital areas of my musical interests. Around 2015 the piece has been included into the Polish Music Publishers’ (PWM) catalogue as performance material.
