The piece was written between october 2016 and march 2017 for flutist Renata Guzik and clatinettist Michał Górczyński, and commissioned by conductor Szymon Bywalec for his New Music Orchestra residing in Katowice, Poland. The both solo instruments had interested me long since, as same as a multifarious ecploration of their broad sonorities. In Air Paths I had my first real opportunity to realize those interests. The first performance of the piece took place on April 9, 2017 during the New Music Orchestra concert in the Chamber Hall of Polish Radion National Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, Poland.
