June 10, 2022, Tadeusz Baird Composition Competition Final Concert
On June 10 2022, 18:00, I was in Warsaw as jury member of the 63rd Tadeusz Baird Young Composers Competition held by the Polish Composers Union.
During the final concert of the competition 5 selected pieces for voice and string quartet were premiered.
As it was a specific concert within the composers competition, neither the jury membenrs nor audience knew names of composers of the performed pieces. This ensures, that jury decisions are made strictly upon purely artistic values of the selected compositions.
The names of the laureates were revealed only after the concert, during public announcement of the jury's decisions.
